Kuma

Supporting Widows of the Iron Swords War.

Heroes Fell. Heroines Rise.

Kuma is a Sulamot initiative supporting the widows of Israel’s security forces from the Iron Swords War.

At Kuma, we see it as a privilege to stand beside these heroines, who sacrificed what was most precious to them for all of us, and to give them the sense that they are not alone on the journey.

Every widow is an entire world, with her own unique needs; accordingly, the help Kuma offers is tailored to each woman.

Areas of support include personal and emotional care, monthly stipends, one-time grants, financial guidance, help accessing entitlements, and a network of volunteers who assist with home maintenance. Kuma also partners with other organizations to reach every widow as fully as possible.

Kuma’s goal is to give the women in the program the guidance they need to carry the weight of daily life, working toward emotional wellbeing, financial stability, and healing and growth out of loss.
