Under new tax authority requirements, an identification number (Teudat Zehut) must be included with any donation in order to receive a receipt in Israel. Without it, the receipt will not be valid for an Israeli tax deduction.

Is my donation tax-deductible in Israel?
Yes. Sulamot is recognized for tax purposes in Israel under Section 46 of the Income Tax Ordinance.
Do I need to provide an ID number to receive a tax-deductible receipt?
Yes.
As of January 1, 2026, the Israel Tax Authority requires every donation receipt in Israel to include an ID number.
Without an ID number, the receipt will not be valid for tax deduction purposes.
- Online donations: the number is collected automatically as part of the payment process.
- Bank transfers: please email us your ID number and the details of the transfer so we can issue a valid receipt.
Will my donation appear automatically in my personal account on the Israel Tax Authority website?
Online donations:
Yes. Our payment system automatically transfers the information to the Israel Tax Authority, and the receipt will appear in your personal account.
Bank transfers:
Please email us the following details so we can report your donation:
- Full name
- ID number
- Date of donation
- Donation amount

We can only report your donation to the Israel Tax Authority once we’ve received these details.
I donated by bank transfer, how do I get a receipt?

- Transfer amount and date
- Purpose of the donation
- ID number
Once we’ve received these details, we’ll upload the receipt to your personal account on the Israel Tax Authority website.
Can I dedicate my donation in someone's honor or in memory of someone?
Yes.
You can note this on the donation page or send us a request by email.
You can also open a personal fundraising page in honor of an occasion or in memory of a loved one.
Can I make sure my donation goes to the cause I chose?
Yes.
Once you let us know the designation, your donation is allocated exactly to the project or cause you chose.
Can I set up a recurring monthly donation?
Yes.
On the donation page, you can choose a recurring monthly donation or a one-time gift.
Is donating on the website secure?
Yes.
Our payment system meets strict security standards (PCI-DSS), and all information is encrypted and secure.
I donated but didn't receive a receipt. What should I do?
Email judy@sulamot.org with your full name and donation amount, and we’ll send a receipt as soon as possible.
Which countries can I donate from?
For online donations, select USD, and the system will issue a US tax receipt.
